What are buckyballs?

Q1. What are buckyballs?

Carbon BuckyBall

Ans. Before 1990, carbon was known in two forms of allotropes-diamond and granite. In 1990, a third allotropes was created. Its molecule looks like a football or the domed stadium roofs created by American Architech Buckminister Fuller. And so this allotrope is called after him, a buckyball.
