Phishing.

Q4. What do you understand by phishing?
Ans.
Phishing is an illegal way of obtaining personal information, such as login name, password, and credit card details. Phishing normally takes place through email or instant messaging. In phishing, an imposter sends an email or uses a website that looks genuine to trick people into giving important information about themselves.
For example, the imposter may send an email (which appears genuine to the user), pretending to be representative of the user’s company. In the e-mail, he/she may ask the user to update his/ her information online by clicking a specified link. As the user clicks the link, he/she may be redirected to a fraudulent website where the user is asked to enter important information about herself/himself, which can later be used for cyber-crime and fraud.
